Panama · Flamenco Island, Amador
Ferry to Taboga Island
Taboga sits forty minutes off Panama City, and the ferry is the only way there. You buy an open ticket, we confirm the sailing with you, and you board with a QR code on your phone.
Dock tax already included in every price
The ticket is open, and that is the point
You are not buying a seat on a specific sailing. An open ticket is valid for 180 days from the day you buy it, so you can book before your trip is planned and still decide the morning of. We confirm the day and time with you before you travel.
Island entry is already in the fare
Taboga charges visitors to set foot on the island. That charge is included in your ticket — there is nothing to pay in cash when you step off the boat.
Where you board
All departures leave from Flamenco Island in Amador, at the end of the Causeway. It is about twenty minutes by car from downtown Panama City and there is parking on site.
What the island is like
Taboga is small enough to cross on foot. Painted houses climbing a hill, two beaches, a church from the sixteenth century, and restaurants along the waterfront. Most people come for the day and are back in the city by evening.
Before you book
- Open ticket: valid for 180 days and transferable. If you do not use it, we refund 100% within that window.
- If weather doesn't allow sailing, we reschedule your trip at no cost.
